Train recently announced the release of Hella Fine Merlot, their fourth signature wine. But it turns out the group isn't going to stop there: the band told WashingtonLife.com that at least two more Train wines are in the works.
According to guitarist Jimmy Stafford , one of the new wines the group is planning is called Soul Sister Pinot Noir, and the other is called Sweet Rain. The Soul Sister bottle is obviously named after the band's career-reviving smash hit. As for Sweet Rain, that's the name of a song that was a bonus track on their 2001 breakthrough album Drops of Jupiter . It's not clear when these wines will be hitting the market.
All of Train's wines are available through SaveMeSanFranciscoWineCo.com , and the proceeds are donated to Family House, a non-profit organization that provides temporary housing to families of seriously-ill children who are being treated in San Francisco. In addition to Hella Fine Merlot, they're also selling Drops of Jupiter, Calling All Angels and California 37.
In other Train news, it appears that the group is a fan of British boy band One Direction. Asked by a fan on Twitter what they think of the fivesome, one of them -- probably frontman Pat Monahan -- replied, "Love. I'd like to write with those dudes."
