WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) - An old game from afar has been introduced to young people in Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa. It’s called GaGa Ball, which is an Israeli game similar to dodge ball, but with rules that make it fast and competitive for many age groups to play together. GaGa translates to “touch touch” in Hebrew.
The Boys and Girls Clubs in Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa received donations to build the two hexagon-shaped GaGa Ball pits, which can be taken apart and moved if needed. The clubs plan to hold tournaments in the future.
For now, Boys and Girls Club officials are really happy with the GaGa Ball pits for another reason... It’s a good indoor activity they can do until the snow melts.
