WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) - Investigators are inviting the public to share any knowledge or observations that could solve a shooting crime in Waupaca County. Sheriff Brad Hardell says the investigation into the March 23rd shooting at Wally World Tavern in the Town of Farmington is still underway, but they haven’t been able to identify the two suspects. “We don’t have a lot of new information right now. We’re working some tips that we have.”
The shooting involved two suspects in a car believed to be a Chevrolet Impala driving through the parking lot and firing bullets into the building. 35-year-old Rickey Stoflet Junior was wounded in the shooting. He has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering well.
Hardell has no evidence to make him believe the suspects were trying to kill Stoflet. “At this point, that’s not the avenue we’re looking at. We’re looking more at just a drive-by type of situation at this point, but I guess it could change down the road. At this point, that’s not what we’re thinking happened, no.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department. “Anything they want to get out to us, we’ll certainly take and take a look at. Any information helps at this point.”
