Kanye West is reportedly being sued for millions of dollars in damages related to a sample of a 1974 song that he supposedly used in his chart-topping 2005 single "Gold Digger." That's according to AllHipHop.com , which reports that the copyright lawsuit was filed by brother and sister Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor , whose late father, David Pryor , recorded the track in question, titled "Bumpin' Bus Stop."
David Pryor had been a member of the music group Thunder & Lightning . He died in May 2006, according to AllHipHop.com. The website adds that several music labels, including Roc-a-Fella Records, Bad Boy Records and Island Def Jam are named along with Kanye in the lawsuit.
