Monday night on The Voice , the four coaches continued to fill the empty slots on their respective teams.
Adam Levine , Blake Shelton , Shakira and Usher each added at least two artists. There are now 11 contestants on each team entering the final round of blind auditions, airing Tuesday night. Each coach must draft one more artist.
Here's a rundown of the latest auditions:
Jeff Lewis , a 28-year-old from Dallas, once had a deal with Interscope Records, but after a few years with the label he was, in his words, "put on the shelf." Armed with an acoustic guitar, he performed the Usher song "U Got It Bad." When Jeff told Usher that winning The Voice would be a life-changing experience, Usher replied, "I'd like to change your life." Not surprisingly, Jeff chose Usher as a mentor over Blake and Shakira.
Shawna P , 45, won over Adam and Shakira with her raspy rock voice on The Black Crowes ' "She Talks to Angels." Shawna chose Shakira.
Caroline Glaser , an 18-year-old singer-songwriter, sang a soulful version of Elton John 's "Tiny Dancer." Blake and Shakira turned their chairs around. Blake complimented Caroline on her dimples, comparing them to his own. Apparently he charmed Caroline with that comment, because she joined his team.
The bowtie-wearing Cameron pulled off some fancy dance moves -- which didn't help him much, since the coaches couldn't see them -- before launching into Justin Bieber 's "As Long As You Love Me." None of the coaches pushed their buttons. They suggested that Cameron wasn't able to master the art of singing and dancing at the same time.
Forty-three-year-old Michael Austin declared in his pre-audition interview that he leads a country lifestyle, so much so that he's nicknamed "Big Country." He covered Keith Urban 's "Somebody Like You." Oddly enough, "Big Country" will be mentored by Adam, rather than Blake, who didn't turn around.
Sasha Allen , a 30-year-old mother of two from New York City, earned fans in all four coaches with her rendition of the Dixie Chicks ' "Not Ready to Make Nice." Adam told her that she was special and wanted to work with a talent like her. The other coaches made their best pitch, but Sasha ultimately picked the Maroon 5 frontman.
Matt Cermanski , 19, made an unusual song choice for his audition: the Katy Perry hit "Teenage Dream." He was rejected by all four coaches. Usher suggested that the song was out of Matt's range. Blake added that it wasn't a good fit for what they were looking for from him.
Mary Miranda , a 17-year-old originally from Cuba, performed the Spanish-language tune "Como La Flor" by the late Selena . She had her choice of Shakira, Adam and Blake. She picked Shakira, the Colombian native.
It didn't take long for Blake to turn around after Grace Askew of Memphis began singing "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." Shakira also pressed her button. Blake repeatedly exclaimed that he was excited about the prospect of working with Grace. That enthusiasm convinced Grace to bring her talents to Team Blake.
Eighteen-year-old Jane Smith of Cincinnati, who lost her father to cancer, was hoping The Voice would be the ticket out of her current job. Her take on Florence + The Machine 's "You've Got the Love" didn't make enough of an impression on the coaches to earn a spot on one of their teams.
Ryan Innes ' backstory: His engagement to a woman ended just a few weeks before the wedding. He closed the show with a performance of the John Mayer song "Gravity." All four coaches made a bid for Ryan. Ryan, citing the soul in his voice, picked Usher.
The final group of blind auditions will air on the one-hour episode of The Voice airing Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on NBC.
