We know this may come as a shocker, but the most-played song in the U.K. last year was not -- repeat, not -- by Adele.

According to the British music licensing operation PPL , the most-played song on the radio, on television and in the pubs, clubs, restaurants and stores of Britain in 2012 was "Domino," by Jessie J.   In fact, no songs by Adele even made the top 10 in PPL's rankings, which were just released this week .

"Domino" reached the top 10 in the U.S. -- it's Jessie's most successful U.S. single -- but in the U.K., it topped the charts.  Most of the rest of the most-played songs of 2012 in the U.K. weren't even by British artists.  Among them: "Somebody That I Used to Know," "Moves Like Jagger," "Call Me Maybe" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)."

Here's the full list of the most-played tunes in Britain last year:

1. Jessie J -- "Domino
2. Gotye (Feat. Kimbra) -- "Somebody That I Used to Know"
3. Emeli Sandé -- "Next to Me"
4. Maroon 5 --"Moves Like Jagger"
5. David Guetta (Feat. Sia) -- "Titanium"
6. Olly Murs -- "Dance with Me Tonight"
7. Kelly Clarkson -- "Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)"
8. Rihanna & Calvin Harris -- "We Found Love"
9. Carly Rae Jepsen -- "Call Me Maybe"
10. Maroon 5 -- "Payphone"
