MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) Brewers’ starter Mike Fiers was sent down to Triple-“A” Nashville yesterday, after he struggled with the Crew in the early going.

Right-hander Hiram Burgos was called up from Nashville – and he’s expected to start for Milwaukee tomorrow night against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park. Fiers is expected to start at Nashville tomorrow.

The right-hander gave up six runs in five innings against Arizona two weeks ago, and manager Ron Roenicke skipped his next two starts from the Number-five spot in the rotation. The 27-year-old Fiers says it’s not the end of the world, and he vows to prove himself again at Triple-“A” and come back up to Milwaukee as soon as possible.

Burgos pitched for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic, and was 0-and-2 at Nashville with a two-point-seven-oh E-R-A in three starts. He held opponents to a .200 batting average.
