WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAU) - Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan is back to leading the House Budget Committee after his unsuccessful Vice Presidential run on Mitt Romney’s ticket last fall, but he looks at that race as a positive experience.
Ryan was asked in a television interview about the experience on EWTN’s “World Over with Raymond Arroyo” if he enjoyed the campaign. “You know, I enjoyed it. Jan and I really thought and looked back on it and I think our family enjoyed it. The opportunity to give the country a choice, the opportunity to meet literally tens and tens of thousands of people who are so passionate about their country. It was a great honor and a great joy to have done it.”
When it was over, Ryan said he was disappointed they didn’t make it after putting lots of work and preparation into the campaign, and into what policies and executive orders the new administration was prepared to make in the first 200 days of a Romney Presidency.
Ryan was asked if he would do it again. “We’ll find out.” was his only reply.
