RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) - Oneida County has a new jail administrator.
The new jail administrator is Sandra La Du-Ives. She’s been the Assistant Jail Administrator for the past four years under Kaye Juel, who along with her husband Mark died in a house fire February 12th.
Sheriff Grady Hartman promoted La Du-Ives to the Administrator position Friday. La Du-Ives was a Corrections Officer for nine years before becoming the Assistant Administrator, and is a graduate of Nicolet Area Technical College. Hartman says she has demonstrated a commitment to core values, is experienced and aware of his expectations, and he is confident in her knowledge, skills and abilities.
La Du-Ives will oversee 26 corrections staff and the programs and policies that keep jailers and inmates safe.
