GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAU) - The Department of Transportation says it should be clear driving from Central Wisconsin to Lambeau Field today.
Spokesman Kim Rudat says you should still pay attention though and be patient. "First, give yourself plenty of time so you're not rushed. Obviously traffic ramps up pretty quickly here in Green Bay for a Packer Game." Rudat says you should try to leave early if you can and understand that there might be backups in town.
The good news is that there's no major construction going on near Green Bay. "You can expect 2 lanes of traffic in each direction, least 5 hours before the game and 5 hours after the game." Rudat says the only restriction will be some narrower shoulders on Highway 29. "And when you have narrowed shoulders, the barrels are closer to the road, and even though you have two lanes, it's natural for traffic to slow down."
As always, Rudat says you should buckle up, pay attention in work zones and take your time.
