MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) It’s your final chance to see the Winter Wonderland lights display in Marshfield’s Wildwood Park. Event chair Scott Larsen says the lights will go dark as a part of the New Year’s Eve finale, and then participants are invited to warm up at a big New Year’s Eve bash. Larsen says, “We’re gonna do a count down at the park, and then the main event going on is the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Feed the Need concert that will be held at the Holiday Inn.” The number of food items collected for food pantries across Central Wisconsin is expected to be down slightly this year due to extreme weather, and fewer days that the exhibit was open. Then comes the job of taking down those million-or-so lights, and Larsen says they always need volunteers. Anyone interested in helping to take down the display are encouraged to go to www.rotarywinterwonderland.com for details.
