THREE LAKES, WI (WXPR) -  A Three Lakes organization will be considered to be placed on the state and national Historic Places Register.

The Three Lakes town board Tuesday read a letter from State Historical Preservation Officer Michael Stevens that the Three Lakes Rod and Gun Club will be considered next week for placement on both registers.

The club is located along Highway 32. Sidlowski says it was on the recent town board agenda to draw attention to the possible dual designation as a state and national historical spot.

The nomination will be considered at a meeting at the Wisconsin Historical Society on Friday, February 15 in Madison.
