WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - The Weston teenager who tried to burn his ex-girlfriend’s home will be sentenced Wednesday.
18-year-old Jacob Rykowski was charged with arson, burglary, stalking, and criminal damage to property after setting a woodpile on fire inside a shed near the Town of Maine house in November of 2011. He pled no contest to those charges in October, and additional charges were dismissed but will be read in at sentencing before Judge Jill Falstad.
Rykowski was free on bond to continue school or work while the presentence investigation was performed, but he was remanded into custody December 12th. He could get up to 40 years in prison for actions.
