WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - The state has rested it’s case in the trial against a gym center owner and coach accused of having sex with underaged girls.
Marathon County Assistant District Attorney Theresa Wetzsteon presented her last witness just before 2-o-clock. The defense did get two juvenile witnesses on the stand before the jury was retired for the evening.
Taj Jefferson is accused of having sex several times with a 16-year-old that he coached, both at his Ringle residence and at his business, GymSport Gymnastics in Weston.
The trial before judge Vincent Howard may wrap up Friday.
