Following a report that Alicia Keys would be singing the national anthem at this year's Super Bowl, the NFL has now confirmed that Alicia will, indeed, do the honors February 3 in New Orleans.

While she's never actually sung the anthem, this will be Alicia's third time appearing at the Super Bowl -- and that's more than any other artist, according to the NFL.  She previously sang "America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, and then returned in 2008 to perform as part of the pregame show for Super Bowl XLII.

As previously reported, Beyonce will provide the halftime entertainment for the big game, which will air on CBS.
