RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - A toddler was found wandering alone outdoors overnight in Racine.

Somebody called 911 after seeing the boy outside an apartment complex around 4 a.m.

He was 2-or-3-years old and was wearing pants and long-sleeved clothes.

Sheriff’s officers found the boy’s mother around 45 minutes later and brought her to the hospital where the youngster was taken.

Police said the child should be okay – and investigators said it appears to be an accident.

There was no immediate word that criminal charges would be sought.
