What Connects Maroon 5's "Love Somebody" & Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines?" One Naked Chick

If you've seen the video for Maroon 5's "Love Somebody," you've seen Adam Levine smearing blue paint over a woman who looks as though she may be naked.  You can't really see all the details in the video, but if you really want to see her in the nude, you can check her out in another video: Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."

Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine tells ABC News Radio that Emily Ratajkowski, the model who stars in the "Love Somebody" video, can also be seen topless in the uncensored version of Robin Thicke's video.  She's the brunette, by the way. "Yeah, it's a funny coincidence, I guess, but we were lucky to have her in the video," James says.

As for the "Blurred Lines" video, he raves, "I think that video is amazing.  It's one of the best music videos I've ever seen in my life!" -- for obvious reasons.

But while Adam may have had fun in the video smearing paint on Emily, the rest of the band wasn't too happy to be completely covered in blue paint to produce the unusual effects that you see in the clip.

"That was not a pleasant experience -- to be covered in blue paint -- because the paint was cold.  It was really cold," James recalls. "They had to keep it cold for some reason, I guess, for the way it looked.  And I've got long hair, so that was a long shower afterwards to get all of that out."

But ultimately, James says, the discomfort was all worth it.  "It's a really cool effect in the video.  We were all really happy," he says. "We hadn't really seen anything like that done...I thought it was really cool how he's rubbing the paint on and then off."

He adds, "I think it fits with the lyrics of the song too, you know, like, really finding somebody, you know, and just sort of forming them out of the ether."

"Love Somebody" is the fourth smash from Maroon 5's Overexposed album, following "Payphone," "One More Night" and "Daylight."  James says they may released a fifth single, but they've already started work on their next album.
