BOSCOBEL, Wis. (WSAU) -  A U.S. highway closed after a mudslide has reopened. Highway 61 in Crawford County north of Boscobel and the Wisconsin River was shut down almost three weeks ago when heavy rains and saturated soil caused the side of a hill to slide down, burying the roadway.

There were cars near the mudslide when it happened, but none were caught in it.

The road reopened late Thursday afternoon.
