MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) --  As the Affordable Heathcare Act, also known as Obamacare gets closer to implementation, there’s a report out saying even more tax dollars are being handed out to help promote it.

The report Friday from Watchdog.org says seventeen Community Health Center sites in the Badger State will get grants totalling 1.77 million dollars to promote Obamacare.

Community Health Centers already provide medical and limited dental services to about 300-thousand Wisconsin patients that cannot afford insurance. The report says the grants will be used to hire about forty workers to help over twenty-six thousand more Wisconsinites enroll in the Affordable Healthcare Act or in the state’s BadgerCare plans. The largest Wisconsin grant recipient is Family Health Center in Marshfield, which received over 239-thousand dollars.

Nationwide, eleven billion Obamacare dollars and two billion stimulus dollars have been set aside to expand family health center services.
