Looks like we have a new chart champion of 2013: Robin Thicke 's "Blurred Lines."  The song stays atop the Billboard Hot 100 for a seventh week, making it the longest-running #1 single of the year.

The previous champ was "Thrift Shop," by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, which spent six non-consecutive weeks at #1 earlier this year.  No song has stayed at #1 longer than seven weeks since last fall, when Maroon 5 spent nine weeks at the top with "One More Night."

Meanwhile, someone had the bright idea to create a video mash-up of "Blurred Lines" and the memorable theme song from the '80s sitcom Growing Pains .  Why?  Because Robin's dad, Alan Thicke , starred on the show.  Alan's face and pictures of his co-stars in the show appear in the mash-up, called "Blurring Pains."

Alan, who co-wrote the theme songs to classic sitcoms like The Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes, has contributed a song to Robin's upcoming album, also called Blurred Lines.
