Two sex offenders being released in Wausau in late June

by

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -  Two more convicted sex offenders will be released from prison later this month. Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says Eric Doorn and Gary Penrose are scheduled to be released on extended supervision June 25th.

38-year-old Doorn has spent the last year and a half in the Stanley prison for exposing a child to harmful materials and 2nd degree sexual assault. 34-year-old Penrose has completed 15 years in the Oshkosh prison for two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.

Both Doorn and Penrose will have electronic monitoring devices and will be supervised by the Department of Corrections. Their addresses will be listed on the state’s sex offender website when they are released.
