TOWN OF EMERALD, WI (WTAQ) - A motorcyclist killed after hitting a deer in far western Wisconsin is identified as 59-year-old Robert Cripe of Baldwin.
St. Croix County authorities said Cripe was going west on a county road in the town of Emerald on Tuesday night, when he struck the deer and was thrown off his bike.
He was taken to a hospital in St. Paul Minnesota, where he later died.
Sheriff’s deputies said they were not sure whether Cripe was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
