MADISON, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Mukwonago High School linebacker Dominic Cizauskas has accepted a scholarship offer to play at Wisconsin. The offer came earlier this week, at the end of a one-day camp the Badgers held for incoming high school seniors. Cizauskas was also recruited by six other Midwest schools including Minnesota.
He had five sacks and three forced fumbles for Mukwonago last year. He also placed third in the 100-meters at the recent state high school track meet, and was eighth in the shot put. Cizauskas also averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds as a starter on the Mukwonago basketball team last winter – a team that reached the state’s Division-One final.
Cizauskas said it’s been a dream of his to play for the Badger football team. He’s the sixth in-state recruit by new coach Gary Andersen. The only one he lost was Somerset tight end Gaelin Elmore, who decided to attend Minnesota – which is much closer to his northwest Wisconsin home.
