ST. CLOUD, MN (WSAU) - A woman from Minnesota has been given two consecutive life sentences for killing her ex-husband and then her boyfriend.
40-year-old Angelina O’Mara pled guilty for the 2011 Minnesota shooting death of her ex-husband James O’Mara. A few days after killing him, O’Mara shot and killed Michael Pies at a motel in Ashland County Wisconsin. She pled guilty to that Thursday.
Court officials say she will likely serve both sentences in Minnesota, knowing she will never get out. The Wisconsin sentencing specifically says O’Mara is not eligible for parole or extended supervision. She was also given a $2,600 restitution order payable to the family of Michael Pies.
