Hawks Handle Bucks Again

MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The Milwaukee Bucks have lost three straight after falling to the Atlanta Hawks yesterday, 104-to-99 at the B-M-O Harris Bradley Center. There were 15 ties and 23 lead changes, and the Hawks scored the game's final seven points to go 3-and-0 against the Bucks this season.

Josh Smith tied the game with a driving basket with 33-point-eight-seconds left, and Milwaukee never scored after that. The Bucks out-rebounded the Hawks 50-to-38 percent. Atlanta out-shot the Bucks 50-to-46 percent, and had a decisive 39-to-24-percent edge from three-point range.

Kyle Korver hit three from downtown, and extended a streak to 63 games with at least one trey – the fifth-longest in N-B-A history. Al Horford scored a game-high 24 points for Atlanta, which beat Milwaukee for the second time in five days.

Smith scored 23, and former Wisconsin guard Devin Harris added 16 before he left with an injury. Monta Ellis led the Bucks with 20 points. Ersan Ilyasova had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Larry Sanders had 12 boards, and Brandon Jennings had 13 assists.

The Bucks dropped to two games behind Boston for the seventh playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 13 left. Milwaukee is now 34-and-35, and will play at Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
