PIGEON FALLS, WI (WSAU) -  Some names have been released in the latest case of a vehicle crashing into an Amish buggy. This accident happened on Highways 53 & 121 near Dissmore Coulee Lane Friday night 3 miles south of Pigeon Falls.

Trempealeau County sheriff’s deputies say 19-year-old Brady Engen of Strum was northbound when he hit the buggy at about 10:20 p.m. There were nine people in the buggy, all seriously hurt. 38-year-old Lydia Wengerd and the seven children were all released from the hospital Sunday. 37-year-old David Wengerd is still hospitalized.Engen was not injured.

Investigators say inattentive driving was a factor in the crash, saying he didn’t slow down and rear-ended the buggy. They are forwarding the case to the District Attorney for possible charges.
