One Direction don't believe their current popularity is going to be waning any time soon: they've just announced a stadium tour for 2014.  For now, the tour only includes venues the U.K., Ireland and Latin America, but the group has hinted that more shows will be coming.

Dubbed the Where We Are tour, the shows get underway in April of 2014 in Bogota, Columbia, and are currently scheduled to wrap up June 7 at London's famed Wembley Arena.

According to the British paper The Mirror , during a press conference announcing the tour, the fivesome had more good news for fans: a new album is coming this year.  Louis Tomlinson told reporters that the disc will have a "rockier and edgier tone to it," while Liam Payne added, "We've written a lot of the songs on it. It's a bit more edgy. It's grown as we've grown."

This apparently confirms what 1D's buddy Ed Sheeran said recently: that the group's new album is finished, or at least is close to it.

Marveling at the fact that they're doing a big headlining tour now, a stadium tour next year and have a movie coming this summer, Liam said, "We can't believe all these things are happening at once."  Louis added, "We're just trying to keep our feet on the ground...right now we just take each day as it comes and get ready for the stadiums. I can't believe I just said that!"

On Twitter, Niall Horan wrote, "For us this is absolutely crazy! We are soo excited! Every night is just gonna be amazing! You're support is incredible. you have done this."  He added, "Please don't be disappointed if your country wasn't announced! We will be announcing more over the year!"
