TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) - Authorities are looking for help identifying the speeding motorcyclist that outran officers twice Sunday evening.
A Lincoln County deputy spotted a green motorcycle heading south on Highway 51 near Highway S doing 84 miles per hour just after 7-O-Clock. When the deputy turned around and pursued, the cyclist fled at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. For safety reasons, the deputy broke off the chase. Soon afterwards, another deputy saw a cycle matching the description exit Highway 51 at Merrill. When that deputy tried to stop the driver, he again took off at a high rate of speed. Then, a resident called in a complaint about a speeding motorcycle with the same description near Highway X.
If you have any information on the operator of this motorcycle you are asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
