East Names Long Time Assistant Hoops Coach

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) Wausau East High School announces the naming of Paul Dimka as Interim Head Boy’s Basketball Coach. Dimka takes over for Jason Teske who resigned the position following the 2012-13 season. Mr. Dimka is a teacher at Horace Mann Middle School.

Coach Dimka is a longtime coach at Wausau East having served as an assistant with the football and basketball programs for each of the last 16years; for 15 of those years he has been a varsity assistant coach for basketball. Additionally, Dimka coached at both the elementary and middle school levels prior to his coaching at Wausau East.

Athletic Director Greg Harvey said “Coach Dimka has been very close to our program for a long time and has great knowledge of our current and future players. I am very confident that Paul will be able to step right in and continue to lead our program in the right direction. Coach Dimka has a great plan to grow our program in areas that need some attention. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our boys program that will serve him well. I look forward to watching Paul lead our players, as I know he has looked forward to this opportunity for a long time.”
