MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - It’s not a good idea to threaten a judge.
A 25 year old man currently incarcerated at the Green Bay Reformatory will be facing new charges after he sent a threatening letter to the Lincoln County courthouse.
The Deputy assigned to security at the courthouse investigated after the letter was received by the district attorney. The man who wrote the letter was a former student at Lincoln Hills School and had received a prison sentence after being convicted in 2007 of battery to a law enforcement officer, and throw bodily substance as a prisoner.
The suspect is serving consecutive prison sentences for other convictions and will not be eligible for parole until 2016 now. He may end up with more time behind bars after two felony counts of making a threat to a judge and one felony count of making a bomb threat are filed against the prisoner.
His name has not yet been released.
