Former Wausau officer promoted by Attorney General

MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- A former Wausau Police officer has been selected to lead part of the state’s Division of Criminal Investigations.

Jenniffer Price began her career in Wausau in 1997, but has been working for the state’s Justice Department since 1999.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen promoted Price yesterday to Bureau Director for the Division of Criminal Investigations. The 15-year law enforcement veteran will oversee the Special Operations Bureau, which includes several technology-oriented operations including Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Computer Forensics, and the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network.

Price has also worked drug investigations and has a great deal of experience with computer crime fighting. She takes over the new assignment December 2nd.
