Katy Perry donned a Tarzan-style two-piece in the video for "Roar," but when she releases the next video from her upcoming album Prism , don't be surprised if she's decked out in an expensive couture ensemble.
Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, Katy reveals that she's addicted to Chanel, and hopes to wear the fashion house's designs in her new video. "It's really the only thing I splurge on, label-wise," says Katy. The publication reports that Katy sat in the front row at Chanel's recent show in Paris, and when she spotted a sculpture onstage depicting two of Chanel's iconic quilted handbags, she asked her assistant, "Can you see if that's for purchase?"
The singer also spoke about her upcoming album, which she had initially described as being "darker" than her previous disc, Teenage Dream , but it appears as though that's no longer the case.
"There’s a lot of positivity and anthems, and hope and joy,” she told Women's Wear Daily . "The reason why I called it Prism is because I let a lot of light into my life, which was necessary, because I was in a darker place.”
