WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Police now believe Stephanie Low of Wausau was murdered three years ago today.
On this anniversary of her disappearance, Wausau Police Lieutenant Bill Kolb said in a statement that investigators believe Stephanie Low was killed at 701 1/2 Thomas Street, and that her body was removed from the residence the night she went missing.
They still consider Kristopher “Spider” Torgerson a person of interest in her disappearance but don’t have enough to charge him with this crime. Torgerson is already in prison for unrelated activities.
Police Chief Jeff Hardel says the department has followed up on many leads and filed 379 reports in this investigation so far, and they’re always inviting people to contact them with any new information.
Anyone with information that may lead investigators to solving the crime can contact Wausau Police Detective Jennifer Holz at 715- 261-7883.
