WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Area heating and furnace installers are working to help warm up some Wisconsin homes this fall.
The program is called Heat Up Wisconsin, and Lennox is helping to donate furnaces for homes across the state. Gilray Heating and Cooling Manager Cathy DePalma says they match efforts to get furnaces to deserving homes. "Lennox supplies the furnace and we supply the manpower and any other odds and ends to make it a decent install."
The program has been running for three years, and over 213 furnaces have been installed by shops across the state. DePalma says the program has expanded over the years. "We have been trying to get one furnace per county throughout the whole state of Wisconsin. We've added the Upper Peninsula and they're also involved this year, the State of Minnesota has a program similar to ours."
Lennox dealers across the state will run their installations October 5th.
