Sex offender to be released in Steven Point later this month


STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) - Stevens Point police are alerting the public to the release of a sex offender later this month.

54-year-old Roy Grorich has served his sentence on first-degree sexual assault of a child and will be released back into the community September 30. He was convicted in 2002 of having sexual contact with juvenile girls.

While on release, Grorich will be under strict monitoring by the Department of Corrections and Probation/Parole. He'll be a lifetime registrant of the Sex Offender registry, and be on the electronic monitoring program. He will also not be allowed unsupervised contact with minors.
