Having your own residency in Las Vegas seems to be the latest pop music status symbol, with everyone from Britney Spears , Cee Lo Green and Boyz II Men scoring their own Sin City shows in the wake of the success of Celine Dion and Elton John 's extravaganzas. Now, word has it that the next star to hit the Vegas trip will be... Bruno Mars .
Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun reports that Bruno is "definitely" coming to Vegas for what Leach describes as a "mini-residency." According to Leach, he'll headline one of two new theaters that the Cosmopolitan Hotel will open by New Year's Eve. He'll do 15 to 20 shows at a time, and the whole plan will reportedly be announced this Saturday night.
There are no details on when the shows will begin, or for how many years Bruno will be doing them. All we know is that he definitely won't be doing a show on February 2 -- he's got a date with about 100 million TV viewers, as he performs during the halftime show at the Super Bowl in New Jersey.
