GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) James Starks will start at running back on Sunday, when the Green Bay Packers play at Cincinnati. Coach Mike McCarthy announced the decision after Wednesday's practice.
Starks ran for 132 yards and a touchdown last Sunday, after he replaced injured rookie Eddie Lacy in the Packers' home victory over Washington. Lacy suffered a concussion in that game. Today, McCarthy said Lacy is recovering fine -- and he's going through the league's protocol for concussions while attending team meetings. He'll take a couple more tests tomorrow before he can get the okay to return to practice.
McCarthy also said corner Casey Hayward would again sit out on Sunday against Bengals. He's been out since training camp with a bad hamstring. Safety Morgan Burnett was limited at practice, after missing two games with a hamstring injury.
Three other Packers did not take part in Wednesday's workout, due to various injuries -- tight end Jermichael Finley, fullback John Kuhn, and corner Jarrett Bush.
