WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) - Students, job seekers, and employers will come together tomorrow in Wisconsin Rapids. Mid-State Technical College is hosting their fall job fair from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
MSTC’s Stephanie Hartman says this event has drawn a large number of potential employers. “We are very excited to have fifty-seven employers registered and coming to meet with our students and community members about employment opportunities. There’s a lot of local businesses, and then we also have staffing agencies, we have colleges that will share information about educational opportunities as well as job openings.” Hartman says the healthcare and industrial fields are well represented at the job fair.
Hartman says many students get placed in jobs quickly, and several of the businesses attending the job fair appreciate having new employees with advanced training. “Somewhere like Pointe Precision is just waiting for our graduates because we train on the latest software and the latest technology, and they are ready and excited for our graduates to graduate because we do have them job-ready.”
The job fair at Mid-State Technical College is at the Wisconsin Rapids campus tomorrow in the Building E gymnasium. Along with the opportunity to meet potential employers, people can see what is available in the job market and what training is available at the campus to prepare for a new career.
