WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Northcentral Technical College will be offering another Fast Track session for people taking the GED test this fall.
The program is designed to help students lessen the time it takes to prepare for the test, and in particular to be read for the test before it changes this winter. Associate Dean Jason McFarland says the program is a continuation of the summer Fast Track Courses they offer. "We extend the window a little bit so they get three week sessions, where again individuals can come in, do some preparatory work and hopefully pass those exams."
McFarland says a lot of the process is about being mentally ready for the exam. "We're in the process of just helping people prepare. A lot of it is, they might be stressed about taking the test, and our goal is to help them be successful the first time they take the test."
Two courses are available, one for math and the other for writing. The math course will start September 24 and the writing course will start October 14. Both classes will be available at the Wausau campus.
