MILWAUKEE (WSAU-Wheeler News) Milwaukee Brewers' fans were being watched yesterday, as they celebrated the start of a new baseball season. A law enforcement task force monitored post-game traffic for miles beyond Miller Park. WISN T-V said there was no immediate word on how many drunk driving arrests the effort generated.
Kenneth Pileggi, who heads a regional O-W-I task force, said the goal is to make sure fans drink responsibility at the game, and at their tailgate parties beforehand. For those who don't, Pileggi says quote, "We will stop, test, arrest, and lock you up."
Officials say they'll continue watching for sports fans who drive drunk -- especially on Saturday night, when the Wisconsin men's basketball team plays Kentucky in the N-C-A-A Final Four.
