WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A man who was on the run for five days after fleeing a traffic stop on foot was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday.
25-year-old Peter Yang ran off after a traffic stop on Adams Street last August. Police found a firearm and methamphetamine in his car. He was caught after a week-long manhunt.
He was sentenced in Marathon County court yesterday for fleeing an officer, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and drug possession with intent to deliver. Police stopped his car last year because Yang was wanted for breaking parole on an earlier drug charge.
