MADISON, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Wisconsin’s annual spring football game gets underway this afternoon, with emphasis on a strong start to the season against L-S-U. Head coach Gary Andersen says he will be looking for a team that is moving in the right direction after today’s game. With quarterback Joel Stave sitting out with an injured shoulder, a chance for two up-and-coming freshman to show their game in D-J Gillins and Bart Houston. Andersen says running backs Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement will participate in the first half only. Today’s game gets underway at 3:00 p-m.
