Tibbetts charged with additional crimes

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- More criminal charges have been filed against a Stevens Point business operator already facing sexual assault charges.

Portage County’s District Attorney has charged 32-year-old Steven Tibbetts with new second-degree sexual assault charges after another victim told investigators she was assaulted.

Steven Tibbetts operated Energy Cafe in downtown Stevens Point until just recently.

Tibbetts already has charged of sexually assaulting an unconscious victim and second-degree sexual assault from an incident in early March. That victim claims he drugged and raped her at his home. Tibbetts is also charged with bail jumping for coming into contact with the alleged 18-year-old victim at Walmart. He’s free on a $2,000 cash bond in that case.
