UNDATED (WSAU) -- The high wind is to blame for causing several power outages. Wisconsin Public Service crews spent much of Monday restoring power to customers affected by the widely scattered outages.
At one point, over 6,000 customers were out of service, with the majority of them in the Eagle River area. Other customers were affected in Hatley, Three Lakes, Crandon, and Pickerel. The number of customers in the dark as of 7:00 p.m. Monday was down to about 600.
