One of Mosinee family charged in drug case pleads not guilty

by

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- One of the five family members from Mosinee accused of supplying the heroin that nearly killed a woman claims he’s not guilty. Prosecutors say 25-year-old Jacob Gould injected a 19-year-old woman with heroin this past May, causing her to overdose and go into a coma. He's charged with 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, delivering heroin, felony possession of THC and obstructing an officer.

Gould was in court Friday, where he entered a plea of not-guilty before Judge Greg Huber. Gould’s attorney also indicated he will be requesting a new judge in the case. He remains in the Marathon County Jail unable to post a $25,000 cash bond.

Drugs appear to be common in the family. Jacob’s father Jerald, brothers Jerrod and Jeremy, and mother Marsha Mohr all face various charges after the overdose incident. Investigators believe well over 100 pounds of marijuana was also distributed through the Gould house.

Jacob Gould will return to court September 8.
