MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) -- Thursday is Senior Citizens Day at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield, and fair manager Adam Fischer says there’s entertainment and discounts with the older folks in mind. The highlight of the day for many of the older folks is the return of Howie Sturtz and his Orchestra, as they come out of retirement for their once-a-year big show at 2:00 p.m. in “The Family Tent”.
The fair has also brought back a popular feature from the past for called the “Fair Lunch Special,” which means that you can come and eat lunch today or Friday between 11:30 and 1:30, and get your gate admission refunded when you leave.
Thursday may be Senior Citizen Day at the fair, but when evening rolls around, it’s entertainment for the younger set in front of the grandstand. Howie Day performs starting at 7:30; and coming up on Friday night, The Marshall Tucker Band takes to the stage.
