MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAU) -- Police and sheriff’ deputies set up a safety perimeter around a Mosinee home late Monday afternoon. This incident began at 4:45 p.m.
Sheriff’s Lieutenant Fred Goch says it’s a precaution, as officers negotiate with a subject who refused to leave the house.
Goch says the surrounding community is safe, and negotiators are speaking to the subject as of 5:15 p.m.
Goch could not comment on other details, including what led to the situation.
The affected area is downtown Mosinee in the area of Highway B, 5th, and 6th streets.
