NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) -- Neillsville utility workers have located the source of their water leak that dropped water pressure to very low levels. The frost over the broken water main kept the water below ground, and impossible to see. City crews located it Friday near the fire hall. Some residents have been using melted snow to flush toilets.
Utility workers had to dig in strategic places to locate the leak. They will spend Saturday morning digging up the area where the located the broken pipe to do the repairs.
City officials urge residents to boil their water before drinking, or using it for cleaning and dishwashing as a precaution until further notice.
