MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Badger Hockey team ended their six-game winning streak Friday with a 3-2 home loss to Alaska-Anchorage. The 13th ranked Badgers lost on the home rink for the first time this season.
It didn’t take long for UAA to get on the scoreboard, with a Scott Allen goal just 37 seconds into the hockey game. Wisconsin didn’t sound the horn until Tyler Barnes tied up the score at 1:22 in the second period.
Alaska-Anchorage put up two more goals in the second with Ben Mathews and Blake Tatchell. Mark Zengerle scored a power play goal at 14:32 in the final period, but that’s as close as the Badgers would get.
