WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Marathon County judge ruled Wednesday that there is enough evidence to bind 41-year-old Chee Xiong over for trial on drug charges. No surprise, as police caught Xiong with a full pound of methamphetamines in his car when he was pulled over near Abbotsford last week.
Investigators believe Xiong has been behind the trafficking of around half a pound of methamphetamines in the Wausau every week for the last six months. Xiong is facing four drug charges including possession with intent to deliver, manufacturing the drug, and maintaining a drug house.
Judge Lamont Jacobson bound Xiong over for trial, and ordered his bond continued at $250,000 cash. Xiong remains in the Marathon County jail awaiting his February 4th pretrial conference.
The street value of the confiscated drug is about $50,000.
